Teltonika FTC880 — Waterproof GPS tracker
For motorcycles, ATVs and other machinery where protection from water and dirt matters. The tracker connects directly to the battery with two wires. Basic vehicle wiring skills are enough to install it.
Connection and installation
The FTC880 connects directly to the battery: the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal. No separate connection to the ignition circuit is needed.
The device can be fixed to the battery casing with double-sided adhesive tape. The mounting location is chosen to suit the equipment’s design and satellite reception.
Basic vehicle wiring skills are enough to install it yourself.
If you want it installed at our workshop in Peetri, the cost is 25–49 €, depending on where the device is mounted. We will agree the exact price before work begins. Installation is charged separately from the tracker.
Operation while driving and when parked
While driving, the tracker switches to active mode automatically: it records the route and sends data at short intervals. You can follow the trip on the map almost in real time. How often the position updates depends on the device settings and mobile coverage.
While parked, data is sent less often. With our standard settings, the tracker sends data once an hour. When the equipment starts moving again, the tracker automatically goes back to recording and sending data more often.
To send data, the FTC880 uses the 4G LTE Cat 1 mobile network and also supports 2G.
If mobile coverage is temporarily lost, the tracker stores the recorded data in its internal memory and sends it once the connection is restored.
Power and the equipment battery
The tracker draws power from the equipment’s battery and keeps using energy when the ignition is off. There is no need to remove the device for regular charging. A small built-in battery serves as a backup power source.
Motorcycles and ATVs usually have a smaller battery than a car, so the additional power draw matters especially during long periods of parking.
For motorcycles, we recommend increasing the reporting interval while parked — for example, so that the tracker sends data once a day. Let us know when you order: we will choose power-saving settings based on how often you use the equipment.
Less frequent reporting reduces power consumption, although the device still draws some power. During long periods of parking, the battery can still run down, especially if it is worn or not fully charged. During long-term storage, check the battery’s charge level and recharge it if necessary.
What you can do in the tracking system
In your account, you can:
- see the equipment’s location, address and speed on the map;
- view trip history for the last two years;
- generate reports on trips and distance travelled and download them in Excel format;
- set up email alerts for leaving a set area, exceeding a set speed limit, and other events supported by the system.
You can use the system in a web browser or in the Android and iPhone apps. All your devices are available in one account.
Price and renewal
The price includes:
- the Teltonika FTC880 GPS tracker, configured for our tracking system;
- a pre-installed SIM card with three years of prepaid mobile data in all countries where the SIM card works;
- three years of access to the GPS tracking system;
- free delivery in Europe.
For the first three years, there are no monthly fees for using the system or for mobile data. Installation is charged separately.
After that, you can extend your access to the system and mobile data service for another three years. Renewal currently costs 69 € for three years. The price may change by the time you renew.
The tracker remains yours. Renewal is optional; the device can also be connected to another compatible tracking system.
Ordering, delivery and collection
Place your order on the website. After purchase, we will configure the tracker and prepare it for use with our tracking system.
We deliver to parcel lockers in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland and send orders by post to other European countries. Delivery is already included in the price.
You can also collect the device from our workshop at Häälinurme 1, Peetri. If you need installation, we will agree a convenient time in advance. After installation, we will check that the tracker works, help you log in and show you the main features.
